Even though it was $40 to get into Bumbershoot this year, I decided to go with Leah and Lance (who was in town for the weekend). I can't believe it costs so much now. I remember going with Leslie for like $7. I hadn't been to it for years, so it was good to go. We saw a little comedy show which was hosted by the "Sound of Young America", which is a radio show on public radio stations, but I guess it's not on any Seattle stations. I think I'm going to check out some of their podcasts because their logo is: A Radio Show About Things that are Awesome. And who needs more than that to want to listen? We tried seeing some films, but the line was too long (that's the part I don't like about Bumbershoot). I did enjoy seeing these guys: Langhorne Slim & the War Eagles.

And Two Gallants were pretty good.

But my definite favorite of the day (which I'm going to now purchase his album) was John Vanderslice. He had such a nice voice and he was pretty funny. You should check out his
cd.

And then the interesting things that happen again at the Seattle Center. This old dancing guy was at the Bite and so were the guys holding the signs outside of the center. They have important messages to get across: dance and repent.

What?!? 40 bucks? That's the dumbest thing I've heard in awhile! Man, things have changed. These things I grew up doing and I thought it and the Bite were both free when I was younger. LAME. I miss some of it though, like the Puyallup Fair, and Greenlake.
Did you go to the retreat this weekend?
$40!!!!???? What the heck? I remember going for $7 a day or $20 for the whole weekend! Looks like you had fun!
Ann I love bumbershoot. It has been years since I have gone. Still looks like a lot of fun.
If you tell me you missed seeing the Old 97's I might have to break up with you. Seriously.
