hanging out with the girls

Saturday was such a nice day. I spent it with Savannah and my niece, Samantha. We started our afternoon out at the Olympic sculpture park. We really liked it there and even though there were a lot of other people roaming around, it didn't feel crowded. Samantha and Savannah took some great shots. We decided we really liked the park and will come back again on a nice day and bring a picnic with us. I thought Samantha and Savannah might have gotten bored at the park, but they really liked it there. We enjoyed reading about each of the sculptures and finding out how old each of them are.
Mine were only mediocre...compared to their shots.

You'll notice Samantha is wearing her hip Mariner's hat. She came prepared, since we headed to the baseball game later.

It was the perfect night for a game, we didn't even have to use my blanket or jackets. Normally spring games can be so freezing. We met more of my family at the game. It was soul-patch night at Safeco and Beren especially liked trying his on. He likes to think he's a really funny guy, but we couldn't help but laugh with these poses. Leslie might make me remove one of these, it's kind of risqué.

Most importantly, the Mariners beat the Angels! Go Ms! Here are more shots of all of us at the game.

The three of us finished the night by watching Alvin and the Chipmunks (the newer one with Jason Lee and David Cross-Tobias from Arrested Development). The girls picked it out and when I saw that Jason Lee and David Cross were in it, I thought, well, maybe this won't be so bad after all. I was wrong. The girls liked it though. They spent the night and we all went to church together the next day. A great weekend!
